The Best Places to See Christmas Lights in Dallas

Christmas is almost here, so it’s time to get in the spirit of good cheer! What better way to do so than by sipping a cup of warm cocoa while strolling through a sea of Christmas lights? We’ve put together a list of some of the best places to view Christmas lights in Dallas to help keep your holidays merry and bright.

Daystar Christmas

Each year the Daylight Star Television Network hosts an exciting, fun-filled Christmas event that attracts guests from all over DFW. The Daystar Christmas event includes a dazzling display of over one million lights and multiple interactive holiday exhibits that include a live nativity, Christmas town, and cafe serving holiday treats.

If you’re planning to partake in the festivities, keep in mind that different parts of the experience are only open during certain times. The holiday lights and attractions run Nov. 28- Jan. 5 from 6pm – 12am. However, the rest of the holiday festivities have varying hours depending on the day.

The Daystar Network is located in Bedford, TX (near the DFW airport) and is around a 30 min. drive from the heart of downtown (traffic permitting). However, the trip is well worth it to view these beautiful Christmas lights in Dallas.

Vitruvian Lights

You may recognize this next location from scrolling through your Instagram feed, or from the buzz on the streets about these colorful light displays. We are here to confirm that this destination is definitely a must-see! Vitruvian Park is one of the newest and hottest places to view Christmas lights in Dallas. This park boasts of over 550 multicolored trees that are certainly Instagram-worthy. You won’t want to miss out on this up and coming gem!

Deerfield Carriage Rides

I have fond memories of bundling up and cramming into the family car to drive up and down the neighborhood streets to view all of the Christmas light displays. If you’re looking for some good ole-fashioned neighborhood cheer like this, word on the street is that one of the best neighborhoods to find Christmas lights in Dallas is the Deerfield Neighborhood.

What started out as a friendly neighborhood competition has now become a full-blown operation. Holiday carriage rides, over-the-top light displays, and the opportunity to text-in and vote for your favorite decorated household are all a part of this holiday experience. Thankfully, the neighborhood has created a full guide with the best tips and tricks for navigating this winter wonderland.
